MS SQL Server 2000 Reporting Services

Hi,

We plan to use MS SQL Reporting Services for our EPMS solution.

Our current EPMS configuration are as follows:

Project Server SP2
MS SQL Server 2000 SP3a
WSS 2.0

Do we need to install the 2000 version of Reporting Services or we can
opt to install 2005 Reporting Services? For authoring, can we use
Visual Studio 2008 or we really need to have Visual Studio.Net 2003?

Thanks in advance.

You can use 2005 (which I would strongly recommend). iIn 2005 authoring is
completed in the Business Intelligence Design Studio - BIDS (a light weight
version of Visual Studio) which ships out of the box with reporting services,
as such there's no need for VS2008 or any other editions.

Hi Paul,

Thanks!

I will try to install it on our server. BTW, do you see any problems
installing the Reporting Server on a single workstation setup Project
Server (DB and WSS, Project Server installed in one machine)?
