MS word 2000 lost main menu

After restarting my computer I have started Word programn
(part of MS office 2000) as usulal. However this time I got
the program without the main menu and tool bar. I do not
recall any problem with the last use of the program and did
not tried to change any settings. The menu and tool bar
somehow disappeared.
Can any one please help me with this ????
