ms word error leads to closure of the application

When I copy text from one word document and past to the other docuement as
well as resize the table column width, MS office 2003 shows an error and
application is closed. MS Word recovers the document. This is perticularly
annoying as it happens many times in a given day as the document I work with
are 50-200 page long with at least 20 tables.

I get the following error:
"Microsoft office has encountered a problem and needs to close.
We are sorry for inconvenience.
The information you are working on might be lost. Microsoft office can try
to recover it for you.
Please tell Microsoft about this problem".
I generally choose "send error report". However, the link from Microsoft
doesn't show any updates.
I am using Office 2003 and IE7.
The same error, I get when I copy something on a webpage and paste it in
the word document

Could be your temporary cache is full, in Internet Explorer, Tools, Internet
Options, delete, delete Temporary Internet files.

Might look into an upgrade to your video/graphics driver...

I tried this step. The error did not get fixed. I copied the text from a
microsoft webpage and pasted over the word document. The error led to closure
of the application.
