MS Word Error Message: "This Document Cannot be Registered"

I use MS Word 2000. Recently, I started to receive this
message as I opened existing documents:

"The document could not be registered. It will not be
possible to create links from other documents to this
document. C:\(Document Path)."

How do I get rid of this pop up message, and
specifically, how can I repair this problem.

I've found 2 different pieces of documentation related to your error:

2) The second piece of documentation says that this is related to the msblaster virus.
