MS Word Error

When I open my document, I get a message that reads, "A
table in this document has become corrupted. To recover
the contents of the table: select the table and choose
convert table to text from the table menu." I know about
the convert tool but there is tons of tables and I don't
know how to find the corrupted one...

Hi Mike

See http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/AppErrors/CorruptDoc.htm for some help. If you
have Word 2000 or later, try round-tripping through HTML as described there.

If you have to isolate a particular table, here's how: Make two copies of
the original document. In one of them, delete half of the document or a
chunk containing half the tables. If the message is still there, make
another copy and delete half of that; if the message is gone, discard this
copy and go work on the other copy. Repeat until you've narrowed it down to
one table. Then use the convert tool on the corresponding table in the
original document.
