MS Word Header/letterhead margins with Text?

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) Processor: Intel I am working in MSWord 2008 on the Mac.
Creating an electronic letterhead.

I would like to place a narrow listing of names in the right or left margin of a MS word template. This would be a fixed element on the first page of the template. However, if I make this listing a part of the header, it pushes the start of the letter content down too far.

Is it possible to add this listing to a side margin and make it not interfere with the body of the letter?
