MS-Word XP or 2003 produces blue screen on scrolling..

Microsoft word application creates a annoying blue screen with messages
like

IRQ_LESS_THAN_OR_EQUAL
PAGE_FAULT

I checked out all the device drivers and updated my whole windows XP to
SP2. But still this problem persists. Sometimes, even while starting
word, this blue screen comes up. I also get infrequent blue screens
with DVD rippers. Is that possible to correct this? can i try SP2 for
office?

I don't wish to alarm you unnecessarily, but when my own laptop began to
crash in this manner, it turned out to be a hardware problem in the display
chip that proved uneconomical to repair. The problem got steadily worse over
a six month period, before the display adapter failed altogether. £1000 for
a new laptop was not something I relished at the time

I would recommend that you get someone with the test equipment needed to
check out the hardware..
