MS Word

When I try to open word 2002 I get message Microsoft word has enencountered a problem and needs to close. It then gives me the option to open in safe mode. Safe mode works fine. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling both word & works which does not help. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
