MS09.DLL file linked to missing export Kernel32.DLL

john

I was having trouble with word freezing every time I tried
to open it, after about a year or two without a problem.
Each time this happened I would need to reboot and I was
unable to use word at all. Therefore, I tried to
reinstall Office 2000. The install went fine.
However, since I reinstalled, I can not access any of its
componets. Not only is Word affected, but Excel, Outlook,
Publisher, etc. Any time that I try to open any of these
programs, or documents associated with them, I get the
following error message:

The MS09.DLL file is linked to missing export
Kernel32.DLL: remove directcreatedirectory.Exa.

I click Ok, and get the follow error mess:

A device attached to the system is not functioning.

The programs never open, please help!
