L

On open, the form displays correctly. When I change records, the text on the
form smears.

Any input is appretiated.

I have already swapped video cards.

I have 2 Gb RAM, 1,618mb (80%) before, 1,592 Mb (78%) after.
Video card is a Radeon X300 series w/ 128Mb of memory.

Thanks for the quick reply.

1. Does it happen with only one form ... or with all? It only happens with
1 form. The rest are OK.

2. Do reports seem to "smear" when they display too, or is it live, editable
data only? No, the reports are OK. It is the form text that smears not the
data.

3. Does it happen with all Access applications you run? No, only with this
application. I can run the same access application on an identical PC and
the form works great. However, I was able to repeat the problem on another
PC that had a clean installation of XP and Office.

4. What version of Access are you running? MS Access 2003 (11.6566.6568)
SP2 PArt of the MS Office 2003 Pro suite.

5. Patches all installed? Yes all XP and Office 2003 Patches are installed.

To note, I have also disabled MouseWheel.dll to no avail.

If interested, I could email a screen capture of the form.

Thanks for helping out.

Either the form is corrupt - repair/compact db, save form under a
different name, delete old one and rename new one to old name....

or

You are doing something on the form that causes the behaviour (code or
something?)

On exit, I automatically compact the database.

Any other suggestions?

I have to ask, what do you mean by smears? I think I might be having a
similar problem, however mine appears in multiple databases.

It turns out that using an ATI dual port video card (Dual D Connector) was
causing the smear problem all along. I replaced the card (AGP single port 15
pin) card and the problem dissappearedm with no change to my database.

Thanks for all your help.
