mscifapp.exe-application error

I do not understand the following message :-
mscifapp.exe- Application error
The instruction at "0x5a002916" referenced memory at "0x00580024". The
memory could not be read. Click OK to terminate or cancel to debug.

It will not allow me to do either and will n ot allow me to shut down my
computer

I receive the same error except it references Instruction OX003402e,
memoryOX00630ac8. Using XP Pro. Message occurs nearly every time I hit Enter
or send something. Must click OK on message from 1 to several dozen times to
clear msg. This is a real nuisance.
