msg: Not enough memory or disk space to display or print the picture

After downloading some "critical" updates for OfficeXP, I
have a doc with several photos that causes the error
msg "not enough memory or disk space to display or print
the picture". The doc has opened previously with all pics
shown. Now all I have is boxes where they should be.
I have a 40gig hd with lots of free space and 192MB of RAM.

Can anyone tell me how to get my pictures to display?

Hi Anne,

Are you also using Norton AV? If so then disable the Office Plug-in
option in Norton and see if that rectifies the problem.

I have the same problem as Anne and tried the correction suggested by Beth but to no avail. Any other ideas?
