msging interface returned unknown error when sending email

I just got a new laptop at a new job and am having a problem using Outlook 2002 for my email. I have 2 emails at this location, one of which is delivered thru Novel Groupwise and the other is a IMAP acct thru a university system. I hate hate hate Novel's Groupwise. However, when I open Outlook it automatically picks up my groupwise mail and opens it. I can also direct it to view my university IMAP acct, but I'm not able to send mail out of either acct. When I attempt to send it I get a Word error that reads: The messaging interface has returned an unknown error. If the problem persists, restart Outlook. Needless to say restarting hasn't worked. I've also tried the Detect and Repair, which didn't work, and deleting my IMAP profile and recreating it, which didn't work

Any ideas?
