msn messenger contacts

Hi there,

I was using Windows Messenger for a long time, today I downloaded Windows
Live Messenger, the problem is that when I signed to it non of my contacts
appeared in it and there is a message saying that no contacts are added yet
etc. when I sign back to Windows messenger the contacts are there, can anyone
tell me why is that happening that my contacts doesnt appear on Live
messenger.
