MSOutlook 2010 & Windows Live Mail together?

Will Microsoft Outlook 2010 work with Windows Live Mail installed on the
same computer under Windows 7? I am running into problems. I got Windows
Live Mail configured okay, but Microsoft Outlook is giving me problems.

Well, I'm running both applications on my 64-bit Windows 7 computer, and I haven't seen anything strange. What, exactly, is the problem you are seeing?

I'm also running both.
I don't use Outlook for mail, just for calendar, contacts, & some notes (to
sync to my iDevices, that's the only real reason I use Outlook at all.)
I use WLM for mail, RSS, & usenet.
No problems under either XP/O2007/WLM2009 or Win7(64)/O2010/WLM2011.

I was successful in getting Windows Live Mail configured right, but for the
life of me, not Microsoft Outlook. I tries every combination I could think
of, mainly using the same user name, password, POP3 and SMTP account
information I used for Windows Live Mail, but it just does not work. I am at
a loss.

Personally, I would stick to just Windows Live Mail, if they did not
eliminate the ability to use Stationary and Backgrounds. That alone is
important to our e-mails.

Some settings in Outlook, particularly for IMAP accounts, must be specified for each individual account, while these are "global" in Windows Live Mail. Maybe that's the issue here. What kind of accounts are you using?
