Is there a simple way to convert old MS Outlook email messages from one
computer to be
compatible and readable with Outlook Express on another computer? Will
copying the Outlook .pst files onto CD and then using OE's "Import" suffice?

No, both Apps ie OL and OE need to be on same pc
The pst has to be copied to hd, read only turned off, and opened in OL
first.

Outlook Express cannot read PSTs. To import mail into Outlook Express you
will have to install Outlook on the second PC, configure it to use the PST
as its default delivery location, and then import in OE from Outlook.
