MSP 2007 - background color shows in some but not all cells?

I have selected a background color for several rows in my plan. One row it
will not show up on the screen or print preview but when I open the font
formatting dialogue box, it shows the color selected.

Is that cell selected? Selected cells will show differently.

Select the task in question and then click Format - Font. Click the
Background Color pick list and select the color, if necessary. Then click
the Background Pattern and DO NOT select the first pattern on the list (the
solid white pattern). Select any of the other patterns on the list and
click the OK button. Selecting the white background pattern makes the
background color disappear entirely. Hope this helps.
