MSP Assignments Finish Dates

MSP Professional 2003 SP3 & PWA 2003 - Need help understanding why the
assignment's finish dates in MSP's
assignments view (Window > Split Window > Resource Schedule) retains
the tasks' original finish dates even when the task duration increases
and pushes out the tasks finish dates. The tasks are in the future,
no actual work hours, fixed duration, not effort driven, no
predecessors, resources could be enterprise or local or both. It does
not happen to every task. Calculation mode is set to automatic.

Hi Kathy,

Is this only for one or two resource assignments when you have more than one
Resource assigned?

I have a task with about 10 resources, enterprise and local, no actual
work hours and none of their assignment finish dates change when the
task duration is increased. Then I have a couple of tasks where there
is only 1 enterprise resource OR 1 local resource. I can't seem to
find a pattern as to what makes these tasks different. Again, all
tasks are in the future and no predecessors/successors.
