MSP Std - Change the default duration from Days to Weeks?

Hi,

We had a "project meeting" today - we have single big project coming up and
we are still evaluating whether MSP is going to give us the majority of the
answers....

I really appreciate your advices to my couple of questions.

The penultimate question is how can we change the default duration from Days
to Weeks?

Our project is over a couple of years, and therefore our base unit of time
will be weeks. Is there a setting that will allow all new tasks to default
to 1week rather than 1 day?

Andrew,
Go to Tools/Options/Schedule tab and set the "Duration is entered in"
selection to "weeks". Then hit "Set as Default" and hit OK. You should
also be aware that duration values displayed in Project views are based
on the settings under Tools/Options/Calendar tab (i.e. 8 hours per day,
40 hours per week, etc.).
