MSP2003 Pro crashes on .MPP save-as of a .PUBLISHED

Good day,

(re-posting, no replies, please help)

Using MSP Pro & Server '03 SP2A. Several users over the last few weeks have
reported the client component (MSP Pro) crashing when attempting to perform a
"Save as" to .MPP from .PUBLISHED plans. Anyone encounter this? I have tried
deleting the locally cashed Global.MPT files for some users and "re-creating"
it by restarting MSP Pro on their workstations, not certain this has helped
or not.

Please advise, thank you!

Do you have SP2 for Project Professional? If not that will cause problems,
install SP2 ASAP.

Good day Rod, as stated in the first line of my posting, we are using SP2 A.
We were in fact the users that first found & repoted the bug in SP2 (the one
that prevented the EGT from being saved) and participated in the beta test of
SP2 A which we have installed...

Please advise, thank you.

SP2A is the version for Project Server. Project Professional only has SP2.
My question I was trying to confirm your PC's are running Project
Professional SP2. Are they? If not you have to update.

Good day Rod,

Ahh; certainly, we are running MSP SP2 on all clients. Any "clearer"
indication of what may be causing the problem?

Thank you,

What anti-virus software are you running? There have been problems
occasionally with Norton and McAffee that I've head of but these should have
been fixed by now.

Good day Rod,

We are running:
Symantec AntiVirus Corporate Edition 8.1.0.825

With the latest & greatest definition files of course.

As well, we are running Windows XP Pro 2002 SP1

Please advise if you have any leads, thank you.
