MSP_PROJECTS.PROJ_PROP_MANAGER ???

I am working on an existing system I have some reports that use the
MSP_PROJECTS.PROJ_PROP_MANAGER field to determine who is managing the
project. I need to change who these people are so how would I go about
doing this? Changeing the Owner doesn't change this field and becoming the
manager of the project tasks doesn't change this field. I am at the loss at
what changes this field.

The field to which you refer can be set by opening a project and then
clicking File - Properties. In the Properties dialog, the value you wish to
set is the Manager field. In this dialog, you will also notice the Owner
field, which usually represents the project manager, while the Manager field
usually represents the project manager's own manager (his/her boss) in the
organization. Hope this helps.
