MSProjectServerRole Error when Restoring Session Manager/View Server

J

Jim

Our Enterprise Project 2003 Server Environment consists of the
following:

SQL2000 server (mixed mode authenication)
FrontEnd Project Server
Session Manager/ View Server
Windows Sharepoint Server

We recently lost our Session Manager/View Processing Server and I'm in
the process of rebuilding it.

During installation I:

Entered the viewdrop share name and supplied the appropriate
credentials

Chose Connect to another existing database and enter the server name
and database name

Entered connection information for the views tables (main project
server database)

When I supply the following database account information:
MSProjectServerUser and password
MSProjectUser and password
I received the following error:

"The Specified MSProjectServerRole account is not in the
MSProjectServerRole role"

I've checked the Roles in the Project Database on the SQL server and
verified the following:

db_datareader MSProjectServerRole
db_datawriter MSProjectServerRole
MSProjectRole MSProjectUser
MSProjectServerRole MSProjectServerUser

Is there something I am not doing correctly or need to check to
proceed?

Thanks.

Jim:

Download the EditSite tool from http://microsoft.com/downloads and test the
site. Let us know what you see. If it fails on the database, look at the
accounts in the first screen very carefully and make any corrections
necessary.
