MST file is not being applied

Hi Eots,

In your original message it sounded like the MST wasn't
being applied at all. If it is being applied in the
initial install but not when you then update to SP1, separately,
that would sound about right, if I'm following you correctly.

Basically an MST file only works on an initial installation.
Once the product is installed you can use a CMW
(Custom Maintenance Wizard) file to modify the installed
product, or you can update the Office Admin Point before
deploying with your MST.

This information may be helpful.

It's a corporate license. I figured out how to get the MST file to work with
the group policy, now I just need to find out how to get SP1 to install
through the MST file after the office installation is complete. So far the
installation keeps hanging when it gets to the service pack. I unpacked the
service pack and included "ohotfix.exe mainsp1ff.msp" in the section of the
MST file where you run other programs after the installation and edited the
ohotfix.ini file, it's just not working. <<

The MST file was a separate issue from SP1. I found out how to deploy the
settings from the MST file in the Group Policy, but I still haven't found a
solution for deploying SP1 as part of an initial installation. Some users
have already been deployed Office 2003 (no service pack) and after I patched
the installation point with SP1 it caused problems for the people who had
previously been installed from the unpatched installation point.
