MSVCR80.DLL not found MS Project 2007 after PWA has been installed

After I installed PWA on the same desktop with MS Project Professional 2007
already installed before, when I start MS Project 2007 I get an error
MSVCR80.DLL not found. Before MS project 2007 worked OK. PWA works without
any problems.

I have seen several threads on the same problem, in particular in relation
to MS Outlook 2007, but never for MS Project 2007. Surprisingly enough but
Outlook 2007 works fine.

I copied MSVCR80.DLL and two other dll's to the \windows\system32 directory.
The original error message has disappeared, but now I get the following
error messgae.

The application failed to initialize properly (0x80000003).

Uninstall, clean up registry en re-install MS Project 2007 did not help
either.
