Multi Location / Multi Time zone in MS Project standalone

Hi

How can I represent the (same) task continued by a person in different
countries across timezones ? One way is to have multiple resource names
representing the same physical person with different calendar. The other is
to indicate it by splitting the task - one for each country/timezone. Both
of these are tedious and not really worth the effort. Is there any other way
to represent this is MS Project 2003 (standalone version)?

Thanks in advance

Hi,

I only had this problem once, with part of the tasks to be done in Belgium,
the remainder in Dubai.
But then, the European tasks were never the same as the Dubai tasks.
So I would indeed split the tasks - if that isn't worth the effort, maybe
the whole timezone issue isn't worth it?

Hope this helps,

Thank you for your quick response. If it were only one person and only one
task I can split it. But my project contains multiple such tasks.

If I have 100 tasks, then I have to duplicate the 100 and do all the
leveling again. And we have multiple projects too. This makes it time
consuming and hence the request for any short cuts.

Looking forward to hearing from you
