multi-page 2-fold pamphlet printing

Does anyone have tips/advice on creating a 2-fold multi-page pamphlet so that
it prints correctly? I can never get it right, and end up having to cut/copy
pages so the layout is correct when I fold it, and it drives me crazy!

Not applicable to two-fold booklets, at least not if Corrinebean means by
that a booklet created by folding each sheet twice, into four "pages."
