Multi page gantt chart in Visio

J

Joebeau

I am creating a Gantt chart in Visio 2003. As the number of activities
increases over the ability for one letter size page to display them, I want
to continue the Gantt chart onto a consecutive page while keeping an ongoing
count in the (automotic and editable) "ID" field and also (hopefully) without
creating a new format for each new page.

Suggestions?

In theory you could tile the pages by going into Page Setup and set the
Page Size to Size to fit drawing contents, then keeping the page size the
same. But you'll run into the Visio issues with overlapping, it's just not
as good as Excel and there's not a good workaround for it.

You could use Print Zoom under Page Setup/Print Setup tab/Fit to 1 sheet
accross by 1 sheet down. This will shrink the contents to fit on one page.

If that doesn't work you could try exporting to Excel or Project if you
have it installed.
