Multipble E-Mails

I am using Outlook 2003

In TOOLS/email accounts/view or change existing e-mail accounts/POP3/
Advanced tab/
I have under Delivery checked off 'Leave a copy of message on the
server, checked off Remove from server after 1 day'

Yet, I continue to receive e-mails from 2-3 previous days each time I check
my e-mail in the morning and each following morning.

Am I missing something? Is there any other areas that I can check to make
sure this doesn't continue to occur?

I have cleared out all of my rules and filters to make sure I do not receive
each e-mail in duplicate form?

This issue is most likely created by your virus scanner which integrates
itself with Outlook.
Disable/uninstall this integration and try again.

Thank you for your reply.

I followed your instructions to the letter. However, it did not stop me
receiving at least 3 days of present and previous e-mails.
Therefore, I totally uninstalled my entire AVG virus scanner.
I checked my e-mail again this morning and I still am receiving 3 days worth
of present and previous e-mails.
I went to my IP e-mail and there are two days worth of e-mails showing.
Yet, as previously mentioned,
In TOOLS/email accounts/view or change existing e-mail accounts/POP3/
Any other suggestions would surely be appreciated. And again thank you for
your assistance.
