Multiple Accounts in Outlook

I have two accounts in Outlook - one for me and one for wife. Message rules
ensure that the mail goes to the relevant mailbox but when we use "reply"
button, the message often goes out under the wrong name.

(I've sent posted this query before but it doesn't seem to be getting
through)

Use separate accounts for you and your wife when logging in under Windows
NT/200x/XP. If still using the old Windows 9x OS, use different mail
profiles (use the Mail applet in Control Panel). Having separate e-mail
accounts defined within Outlook does NOT provide for separate accounts for
users that are sharing the same message store. Mails go out under the
default account unless you pick a different one. Replies go out using the
same account they came in unless you pick a different one. If you want a
different default e-mail account for each user, you will need a different
mail profile for each user so they can pick a different default for themself
that is independent of every other user.

I have 8 different mailaccounts, each working just fine. BUT replies does
not allways go out using the same account they came in. This is really a
problem, since the accounts are mixet private and business-accounts. I know
that I manually can switch accounts, but somtimes I don't remember to check
what account Outlook chooses. This is a brand new PC and installation with
all updates availible. Please helt!

Sounds the SMTP settings for those accounts are not correct. Verify them and
on More Settings-> Outgoing (SMTP) Server mark it to use authentication.

If that doesn't help use the SMTP server setiings of your ISP instead.

Actually, you can add the "From" feild to any outlook e-mail. Just click on
the options button, and add "From". When you send an e-mail, click on "From"
and choose the address you want to appear in the from line.
