Multiple arrows on lines?

Mike W.

Hi,

Visio 2007 on XP Pro.

I would like to make lines that have an arrow head every so often. Something
like this.

---------->---------->---------->---------->

I haven't been able to find anything like that.

Any ideas?

Thanks much,

Mike W.

Hi Mike,

If you have a fixed number of arrow heads, then you can just draw a bunch of
line segments, and combine them. Try this:
1. Draw five line segments with the line tool, end to end - make them
separate shapes, not five points on one line!
2. Select them all
3. Choose: Shape > Operations > Combine
4. Apply an arrowhead to them

If you need a repeating pattern, you'll need to create a custom line
pattern. This article talks about making a custom line pattern, and has a
bunch of links to other articles on the subject:

Last tip: a custom line pattern can't contain an arrowhead, so you'll have
to draw a triangle inside the custom line pattern.
