I'm converting from a Palm device to a PPC (which means that I have to
migrate all my data from the Palm desktop to Outlook).
On the Palm I have a small program that reads the contact records, takes the
birthday data found in a custom field and then creates a to-do (with early
reminder, say 7 days early). It can handle multiple birthdays in one contact
record. For example, the contact record might be "Washington, George W &
Martha" and in the custom field I have "George 1/1/40" and "Martha 2/2/42".
This would create two to-do entries, each on the right date.
When the "Washington, George W & Martha" is created in Outlook, it can show
only one birthday. Sure, one solution is to have two separate entries (and
what if they have 5 kids?) but this isn't very elegant and expands the number
of contact records unnecessarily.
Is there a better way of doing this?
