I had to create a new calendar which i now want to use as my default. When i
drag an email to calendar, it automatically puts it in the old default
calendar. how do I either hide or delete the original one and only view/use
my newly created one?

You cannot designate a calendar as a default. The default calendar is
always a folder names "Calendar" and it is always in the same folder set
containing the Inbox where your messages are delivered. You can change ALL
your default folders at one time; you can't change individual ones.

I had to create a new calendar after exporting all the info my first one and
then importing it back into the new one. This was due to a Palm Outlook 2007
issue. According to the Palm people, outlook and palm don't work well with
recurring appts. Once I exported my calendar to csv windows it came up with a
message about the recurring appts. It fixed things for me so when i created a
new calendar and imported the info, it then synced perfectly with the palm.
However, now I am having the issue with the 'calendar' being the one that
Outlook is using. Is there a way to rename the calendar to something else and
then rename my new one to 'calendar'?

There is no way to change what calendar is the default calendar and no way
to rename the current default calendar. Why did you import to a calendar
other than your default?

I had my old palm that i had working only with palm desktop. I then got a new
palm that was able to work with outlook 2007. I synced my new palm with my
palm desktop and then synced that to outlook 2007. Then when I tried to
resync outlook 2007 with my palm a few days later, things went wrong.
According to the palm support people. when I was using palm desktop and then
synced up to outlook, the recurring appointments got moved to outlook and it
doesn't like to then sync them back up to the palm. this caused the palm to
malfunction. So, we exported my outlook data and immediately a message came
up on windows about the recurring appts issue and how outlook will now fix it
for the export. Then he had me create a new calendar and reimport the data
back in.

And the exact text of that message is?

In my opinion, your best approach will be to create a new PST, make it your
delivery location, the copy the data you want from your old PST to the new
one.
