Multiple cell refences into a single cell

I cannot find an appropriate help screen to this "what has got to be
very simple" task. Can anyone help?

I need to enter a cell reference from Worksheet A together with another
cell refence from the same worksheet into a merged cell(s)?

If one of those values contains a number that needs to be formatted:

='Worksheet A'!a1&" "&text(b3,"mm/dd/yyyy")

(I wanted to show a date.)
