multiple changes

I have 3 or 4 people that work on our website. We have
been running into problems recently with 2 of them making
changes at the same time and 1 of their changes getting
written over. We are using Office 2000. Is there any way
to limit the number of people using the file to 1. So
changes can be saved before the next user opens the file.

Hi James,

Upgrade FP to FP 2002 or 3 and use FPs lightweight version control.

You can use the check out/in feature, however if someone checks out a file, then goes on vacation,
you would have to access to their computer to check back in the file.

Where can I find the check out/in feature? How does it
work? Is it easy to use? I have not heard of that feature.

Thank you for the suggestion.
James
