Multiple Copies Open

When I merge a WORD document (form letter) to my address
database in Access, multiple copies of the database open.
Why does this happen and how do I correct it?

As an alternate, you can also give my mail merge a try..as it ignores the
above problem..and even allows you to work with ms-access data that has been
secured...
