Multiple day all-day events (i.e. vacation) not showing properly

B

Bill S

When I schedule a multiple day all-day event such as a vacation. It only
shows up on the first day. It doesn't banner across other dates. When I
open the event it shows the correct start date and the correct end date. All
day event is also checked.

It used to work fine. I don't know if the problem was a program update or
if I changed some setting. Any ideas?

What happens if you make it a one-day event that has a multiday recurrence?

All updates are installed. (nothing shows up when i run windows update) The
first day is NOT a saturday. (I'm using outlook 2007 and Vista Home premium)

This was a problem in the release version but was fixed by an update.

The "recurrence" approach provides a work around but the normal way should
work and I prefer it since the banner makes it obvious that it is the same
event.

can you post a screenshot? xsolive.com has a screenshot library if you need
some place to post.

I posted the screen shots on xsolive.com. they are in a word document
entitled Screen Shots. The first shot shows the open multiple day event file
starting on the July 19th and running through the 22nd. The second shot
shows that in the monthly view it appears only on the 19th. Note also that
is also shows a starting time of 12:00 am in the monthly view. All new all
day events are now showing up that way. Never used to do that. (Sorry for
the delay in responding; we were traveling.) I ran Outlook repair to see if
that would fix the problem but it didn't change anything.

That's weird and definitely not correct. Have you tried resetting the view?

Cool. My guess is that you didn't customize it but the view became corrupt.
