Multiple Deletions

Is there a way of deleting say 30 or 40 files in one go from a CD (I use
Roxio software) and from a Folder in My Documents (Office 2003) without
affecting the files I want to retain, rather than doing this file by file,
which is very time consuming?

A quick search on Google found this

Often you’ll want to copy, move, delete or open more than one file at a
time. To do this, you need to select multiple files simultaneously.
Here’s how:

Hold down the Ctrl key while you click each file you wish to select
(this is called Ctrl-clicking).

To deselect an already selected file, Ctrl-click it.

To select a whole list of files or folders, click the top file in the
list, hold down the Shift key and click the last file in the list.

Many thanks for the very constructive reply. I thought there must be a way
to do it, but it never entered my head to search in Google! One lives and
learns.

Many thanks for the other postings also.
