Multiple Email accounts / not connecting at same time

Hi,

I'm trying to consolidate my Outlook profiles into one "MAIN" profile and
unfortually I have multiple emails to the same domain (mine). If i add more
then one to the mail list, and "Send/Recieve", Outlook will freeze up
because it is trying to connect to the same POP server with two different
usernames.

Is there anyway to tell Outlook to Send/Receive one at a time? I can't find
anyway to do it.. maybe someone knows.

Thanks in advance,
Marc

Outlook should not freeze as a result of trying to connect to multiple
mailboxes, though this can create problems with servers that will only
accept one connection. What version of Outlook do you have? Outlook 2002
will try to make connections for all accounts, whereas Outlook 2003 will
only try to make a single connection per server.

Thanks for the reply.

Yea, i figured it was a server issue.... It looks like I'm using 2002 SP3.

When you say, single connection per server, you mean, one login for that
server at a time? not each listed server at a time, right?

Marc.

Outlook 2003 will do a simultaneous receive on as many accounts as it can,
but will delay any account if there is already a connection to the server
for that account. We made this change because after we shipped Outlook
2002 we discovered that a number of ISPs would only allow one connection to
their servers per machine.
