Multiple horizontal Lines for Petition signatures

O

oakman

I need to produce a page with a paragraph at top and then place multiple horizontal lines, perhaps 20, (double?) spaced so that when the page is printed, people can add their names and signatures to the petition

I appreciate any help you can provide. If I have posted this in the wrong group, I apologize, and ask for some direction in posting it to the appropriate group

Hi oakman

The simplest way is to insert a table below the text paragraph, one column
by ~20 rows. Set the row height to an exact measurement -- about 0.4 inch --
so it fills the page without overflowing. Use the Format > Borders dialog to
turn on the top and bottom borders of the cells, but not the sides.

That's even easier than the method I use, which is just to hit Enter enough
times to fill the page (with line spacing set to Exactly 18-24 pts) and then
apply an Inside Horizontal border to all the paragraphs. Using Jay's method,
if you want to create two columns of lines (to save on paper), use three
columns, making the center one narrow and borderless.
