Multiple Hotmail accounts need to subscribe

I was setting up Outlook 2002 to work with multiple e-mail accounts
using multiple profiles and got an error sending me to
http://upgrade.microsoft.com.

Does this mean that I need to subscribe to have "free" multiple
hotmail accounts??

Was wondering if anyone else ran into this??

TIA

Thanks for the information. I guess I'll make the plans on that
information. Just as a thought... Do you think that a commercial mass
mailer<super spammer>, the people that Microsoft is trying to thwart,
would care more or less about paying $20 bucks. Wouldn't it be better
to just limit the traffic of an email account to let's say 500
messages per day for the free accounts and 5,000 per day for paying
accounts. In theory of the problem is mass mailings, not access by a
piece of software that I purchased. Maybe limit the number of hotmail
accounts in outlook to 5 or limit it to 5 profiles. Just was a
thought. I bought Office XP for outlook to have it manage 2 hotmail
accounts, one for the outside world and one for private mail. I also
like hotmail better than yahoo because of spam. Maybe someone at
Microsoft will think that this is a better plan rather that alienating
people by making a change, without any notification to the users or
in their online policy statement, that implies, well it was free now
pay up or get out. Do you have any better recomendations on non-isp
based e-mail services, after all that was the beauty of going with
hotmail in the first place.

Just my 2 cents worth

Thanks again
