multiple "hours per day"?

Can resources assigned to the same task/project have work different
"hours per day" settings? We work on Flex Time and some employees
work 5/8hr days and some work 4/10hr days.


We are usin PS 2003.

Sorry, no that's not possible. The "Hours per day" setting is worth for
every resources while, on the other hand, every resource can have a
different calendar.
Consequence : a lot of discrepancies.

If you have calendars for each instance, you can assign the resource
calendars based on the hours worked. So if one groups works a
standard 5x8, they will be expected to work 8 hours a day, 5 days a
week and a 40 hour task will have a 5 day duration. If another group
works a 4x10 schedule and they are assigned to a 40 hour task, that
task should have a 4 day duration.

Mark,

My resources have calendars assigned based on the hours they have
available. My problem comes from the "Hours Per Day" setting.
Because "Hours Per Day" is set at 8, when I assign a resource to a 10
hour task, it shows that he is overallocated at 125%. If I set "Hours
Per Day" to 10, then the allocation numbers are wrong for my 8 hour/
day resources.
