Multiple HTML code fragments

Hi DavidF -
Thank you for your response. I am using Publisher 2003 SP3.
On the site that I am building, I have two marquee HTML code fragments.
One is flowing to the "left" (under the navigation bar) and I have the
other "alternate" (within the body of the page). I want both to show
on the "Home" page but only one will show when I preview it as a
webpage. If I copy the tag to another page, it will show so I know it
works.
I have attached the codes on the .doc.

impossible to
give you any kind of specific answer. Post back with which version
of
Publisher you are using and specifically what you are trying to do,
including the problem you are having, and the code snippets you are
trying
to use, and we will try to help.

The codes didn't come through, but I can make a pretty good guess as to why
the second marquee code is not working, based on your description.

When you Publish to the Web, and produce the html web files for your site,
an index.htm file (your home page) and an index_files folder is generated.
My guess is that you have directed the code snippet to look in the immediate
location in the directory...the root directory, and it should be looking in
the "index_files" folder. That is why if you put the marquee code on any
other page in your Pub doc, the code works. That page is in the index_files
folder.

Change the links in your code. Include "/index_files/" to the path.

If by some chance that is not the answer, then study the code and especially
the links, and make sure the paths are correct. One way or the other, that
is probably where you will find your answer.

Allow me to offer a different suggestion than David's. Don't use two
marquees on the same page. The whole idea of a marquee is to pull
special attention to what you feel is so important that a visitor should
never, ever, miss it. But you want two. The truth is, a person cannot
serve two masters. Or to put it another way, an editor of a city
magazine that has won numerous awards for content, once told me - if you
have to use gimmicks for people to notice what you write, you are not
writing right.
