Multiple Internet Account Management

brush-head

Hi
I'm moving from Thunderbird to Outlook2003, but having difficulty in finding
out how to set up the management of up to 6 internet accounts.
I've set up the accounts and they all work. Now this next bit may be wrong
but, I've also set up Outlook Data Files for each one and now I can't find
out how to do the following:-

1. Use a given Outlook Data File for a given account (I've discovered that I
can have a default but don't want that). I want to be able to use and manage
in a similar way to Thunderbird if that's possible.

2. I want to be able to store all mails separately for each a/c and I want
to be able to create folders in each a/c so that I can organise my mail.

I have no Exchange Server so the Outlook client is being used purely for
Internet access.
If anyone can point me to a site that deals with this, in the meantime I'm
trying to discover a solution via the various sources in Help and Microsoft
online sources.
Many thanks.

In OL you usually use one data file (the pst, Personal Folder) then create
folders within this to hold specific mail.
You create rules within OL to move mail sent/received to the relevent
Folder.
One Account is usually the default, but you can select which account to send
mail using drop down box in 'send'
Any mail replied to, 'should' be sent via the account it was received in.

I've no experience of Thunderbird

Are you talking about "Thunderbird" the automobile, or "Thunderbird" the
wine?

Not all Outlook gurus hang out in the Office misc. news group.
You may have better luck obtaining an answer to your convoluted question in
an Outlook specific newsgroup:
microsoft.public.outlook
microsoft.public.outlook.general
