Multiple Lines in Address Book Summary and Notes

J

James

When I want to see a summary of an address in Entourage X and that
address has multiple lines, Entourage puts the multiple lines on one
line and truncates whatever does not fit.

For example, if the address is:
123 Mississippi Street, N.W.
Apartment 23-B
Anytown, USA

When I try to view the address in the summary pane I see:
123 Mississippi Street, N.W. Apartm
Anytown, USA

I have to open the address entry and tab on the Home or Work address
tab to see the whole address.

Also, if I want to put notes in the Notes field (say a different note
from different days when I have met with someone and a brief
description of our discussion, etc.), I can only see one brief line
with spaces between the different notes.

Is there a way to insert a "hard return" or somehow get the multiple
lines to be viewed as multiple lines instead of one long, and often
truncated, line?

Thanks in advance!

No. It's its way of saving space. And you shouldn't expect to see full notes
in the summary, especially if a lot of other fields are full. Notes are the
lowest priority for Summary space. Just open up the contact and click on the
Other tab.
