I have Office Professional 97, 2000, & XP installed on the same computer.
There were installed in the order of earliest version first. Everything seems
fine except when I work from a limited user account in Access 2k I get the
installer giving me the message below.
"Error 1706. No valid source could be found for product Microsoft Office 2000
SR-1 Professional. The Windows installer cannot continue."
I've checked out the following KB articles with associated notes:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;839438
Where is the 'Use feature from' box? Either I missed it or there isn't one.
IIRC there was a new installer included with the updates which may be causing
the difference between the KB and what I'm seeing.
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;290576
Doesn't give me solution to the issue.
I suppose I could run from an Admin account or just click the 'Ok' button
until Access open, but would like to fix the problem. Since I only get the
installer on the limited account I would imagine there has to be an issue with
either what account the respective installation (i.e. Admin acct.) was made or
a permissions issue. Any ideals? TIA!
