I run two “sole trader†businesses, and use a different PC for each of them.
For reasons not pertinent to this post, I have replaced these PCs a number of
times over the last few years.
I have two licensed copies of Office XP Professional, one for each business.
I have just replaced both PCs again, and run into a problem with activating
Office XP Professional – but not the Publisher element – on both PCs.
Activation on both PCs is being refused on the grounds that I have already
installed the two licences previously, which is of course correct. Whilst I
believe that I have kept within the spirit of the licensing agreement since
the licences have been used in series, not in parallel, on successive PCs, I
understand the logic of the rejection of the activations.
Am I going to have to buy two new licences, or is it possible to buy
additional licences online at a lower price?
Thank you.
