Multiple Projects inserted in one.

Hi
Can anyone help me please?
I have inserted a number of project into one overarching project, but when I
email to any of my colleagues they are unable to view them - is there anyway
I can 'insert special' so this problem won't occur?
Many thanks in advance.

DMM,

You have to send every subproject along with the master project

Hello DMM,

Just to add to Gérard's comment -- you can "unlink" the subprojects
from the master and end up inserting a copy of each of the files. If
you have already created the master project, double click on the
Inserted Project Summary task to show the Task Information and on the
Advanced tab, uncheck the "link to project" checkbox.

You can also turn off the option on initial creation. In the Insert
Project dialog box, uncheck the link to project checkbox when
inserting the subproject.

Any changes made in the original copies of the subprojects will not be
reflected in the master project, but as you are emailing a file, I
assume that is not as much of a concern.

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.

Hi,

The circle is closed.
This was the first reply I gave this poster to his first of many posts on
the subject :)
Then he didn't like it - maybe now?

Hi Jan,

Sorry -- I haven't been watching the ng closely for the last few days
and didn't realize you had already given the correct answer before to
another posting from the same OP :).

Perhaps we'll finally know the answer to the question "how many
Project MVPs does it take....."

Hi Jan,

Yes, if a poster is using the web version of the newsgroup, it can be
*very* challenging to find an older post and get the responses. That
could be why, in not only this newsgroup but others, the same question
gets posted by the same person several times. For all of its other
quirks, that is still why I like using either OE or windows mail as a
news reader -- much easier to see what's new and find posts again!
