multiple projects interdependencies

I want to track only certain tasks across multiple projects and see it
graphically, in one place if possible. Can this be done?

You need to create a master project consisting of all the projects on which
you wish to report. To see only the certain tasks you want to see, you
might consider using the Marked field. Temporarily insert this field in
each project in the Gantt Chart view and select the Yes item for each task
on which you want to report. You can then filter on the Marked field
(Marked is equal to Yes) to view the tasks you want to see in the master
project. Hope this helps.

Now that is cool! For other users' info, I had to apply an
autofilter, the "Marked" field wasn't included in the list of
filters. Now on to making a master plan!
