Multiple Recipients

I have a friend who is having a problem with receiving emails when there is
more than one person in the To: address line. I believe that the main issue
is from external emails.

I have checked the view filter settings and they are all at the default.

She doesnt have any rules set.

There are no senders blocked. Our IT group cannot seem to identify the
problem plus they are fully absorbed in an SAP roll out. I thought that I
could help.

Feel free to make suggestions and let me know what is going on.

Thanks.

What exactly happens? Are they getting moved to a different folder or never
arrive?

Thanks Diane. That was a quick response. I appreciate all that you can do.
Here is what happens. I will try to be brief.
Say, I am an outside supplier and I send information to more than one
contact. My colleague will not receive the message as usual if there is more
than one contact in the "To:" list. It seems that the messages finally
arrive after an extended amount of time. I am talking 2 to 3 days later.
The messages did go to her inbox once they were delivered. No one else in
the company has been experiencing a backlog of email or any troubles with
delivery. I have verified that she has no folders created on the mail server
within her inbox, nor does she have any archived settings that move the
messages.

We do use SPAM control but the users do not have any direct access to it.
They can't add email addresses and so on.

Come to think of it, we do not display the Junk folder. Is there a setting
for that? Could a message be sent to Junk and then be automatically moved
out? Seems a little odd for that to happen.

Thank you for your help. If I can supply more info, please dont hesitate to
ask.

Thanks.

that is odd - it's getting stuck somewhere and it's not in outlook's junk
folder. Once delivered ot junk, only a human can get them out- rules won't.

Are the other addresses for other people inside your domain? i'm wondering
if it gets stuck in the sender's mail server.

BTW - what mail server do you use? If SBS2003, are you using the POP3
connector that came with it?

Diane,
Thanks again for your help.
I dont see the junk folder in our listing of exchange folders. So if it is
moving there then I cannot see it, but like you said, once it is there, it is
staying there.

I am not sure what server we are using other than MS Exchange 2003.
Sometimes the other recipients are in our domain and the same thing happens.
Sometimes the other recipients are not in our domain and the same thing
happens.

It is occuring with all messages that come from different domains. I can
see one getting stuck in the senders outgoing but the odds on it happening to
multiple senders at the same time seems a little remote. Wierd, huh!

I will do a little more poking around to see what I can find. I will post
things that may seem strange to see what you think. I do appreciate all of
your help.
Thanks.
Kevin
