I would like to replace any instance of a comma, period or colon with a
semi-colon. I posted this question a while ago and unfortunately the code I
was given doesn't work.

Is there some reason you can't just Find and Replace comma with semicolon,
then period with semicolon, then colon with semicolon?

Use a search with the *wildcard* option set for
[.,:]
replace with
;
